Testing

Your views reach the API through one object, django_poli_page.client. In tests you replace the name your view module imported with a fake, so the view, the response helpers and the error handler run without a network call.

Replace the client

Patch client where your view uses it: mock.patch("shop.views.client") for from django_poli_page import client in shop/views.py. The fake needs only the methods your view calls, such as render.pdf.

Keep a valid POLI_PAGE in your test settings, such as pp_sandbox_ followed by 32 zeros: any other non-empty string starts too, but logs a format warning. The fake never sends it.

Fake an error

Make a fake method raise an SDK error, built as NotFoundError(message, code=..., status=..., request_id=...). The error handler answers it as in production, so you can assert the JSON body and the status.

Settings overrides

override_settings(POLI_PAGE=...) rebuilds the real client on its next use, to point it at a local BASE_URL. Replacing MIDDLEWARE in a test drops the error handler unless the new list includes it (see Errors).
